Skete of All Saints (Vsehsvjatskij Skete)
An amazingly beautiful wooden Skete of All Saints is located on Sacred Mountain, in the south-east of the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra. Perhaps this is the most unusual construction Svyatogorye. The skete is not just beautiful, but unexpected for these places. Its temples are collected by local carpenters from massive pine logs and decorated with carvings in the traditions of the old Russian wooden architecture of the XVI – XVII centuries. And next to it, like a fabulous chamber, are wooden cells. The skete is enclosed by a wooden palisade with a wooden fence and corner towers, reminiscent of epic times. It is worth seeing!
At present, the All Saints Skete is an economic compound of the Svyatogorsk Lavra: on the lands transferred to the monastery, the brethren grow potatoes, grain, fodder for cattle breeding, honey plants, beets, and pumpkins. Around the hermitage is a 600-root fruit orchard, at the bottom there is a monastic garden, equipped with drip irrigation, where they grow cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, and greens. There are also two ponds, a greenhouse, a poultry house, a vineyard, a stable, a barn with feed and separator workshops, a cellar, a refrigeration workshop and an apiary for 150 bee colonies.
